6.1 Terminals 77 and 78
Emerson
®
has begun removing the IGMnet Terminals 77 and 78 from the Liebert DS,
™
Liebert CW
™
and Liebert Challenger 3000
™
product lines. These terminals have been offered in newer products to
maintain connectivity with Liebert SiteLink units. This connection has been replaced by using a
Liebert IntelliSlot
®
card that will provide this connection in addition to providing isolation between
the Liebert iCOM control and the external wiring to the Liebert SiteLink that did not exist with the
77/78 connection.
To retain the communication capability to the Liebert SiteLink and Liebert SiteLink-E
™
, a Liebert
IntelliSlot SiteScan Protocol Extender Card (model number: IS-485EXI) is available. This card is
available as a ship-loose item on the Liebert IntelliSlot Cards PartnerWeb order form. It will be added
to cooling unit order forms in the future.
If the Liebert IS-485EXI extender card is used with IGMnet from the Liebert iCOM, no other Liebert
IntelliSlot cards can be used, however, if a Liebert SiteLink-E will be communicating with Liebert
iCOM via the new Velocity V4 protocol, then an additional Liebert IntelliSlot card can be used in
conjunction with the Liebert SiteLink-E:
• Liebert IntelliSlot 485 Card: IS-485L
• Liebert IntelliSlot Web Card: IS-WEBL
• Liebert IntelliSlot Web / Modbus IP / BACnet IP / BACnet IP Card: IS-IPBML
If all units in a installation must be identical and the user does not want to utilize the Liebert
IS-485EXI isolation card the 77/78 connection can be obtained from Liebert.
Below is a drawing to help clarify the connections on legacy equipment in relationship to newer
equipment without the 77/78 terminal connection.
